A new attraction has just been discovered in the Sukawati district of the Gianyar regency, just 5 minutes from famous traditional art market of Sukawati. It is a stunning canyon with a crystal clear river stream. It offers a magical feeling once you get inside the canyon and realize how Mother Nature provides us with limitless beauty to enjoy. This new nature of wonder is organized by the local community of Guwang village and can be reached within an hour's transfer from the Ngurah Rai Airport. It;s very easy to find. Not more than 15 minutes as soon as you leave Denpasar via the Bypass Ida Bagus Mantra route, you will arrive at the Ketewel traffic light, and further make aleft turn and follow the main street towards Sukawati Art Markert until you find the Garuda statue landmark. Turn right and go straigh to the end of the street after around 400 meters.
The parking lot is just beside the village's temple where staff will welcome you. It for those with a strong sense of adventure. No heels, no fancy dresses, no miniskirts. The challenging route starts down a flight of stefs, followed by river crossings, jumping and skipping over rocks, creeping by the walls and many more. Having said that, visitors need not wory since they also provide tour guides to accompany their journey as per request. Just be ready with proper outfit.
